Hi Shanelle, Wow, did you write that Constitution. Well, I agree with it 100% only for one reason, it's humane. I'm a strong leftist, I grew up poor and know that society has different standards not just for black women, but white people who are oppressed as well. I consider you my sister in soul and spirit, and I do hope you open your heart to me. That said, life was alot easier for me than it was for the average African American woman because I didn't need to fight as hard for an education and I was good looking so jobs came easy and the paychecks were hefty.

But that never took away who I was, I'm salt of the earth, and I will never forget my Mother begging for foodstamps, 12 kids, and the woman behind the counter laughing at her because she couldn't concentrate. I loved her, and that day I knew I'd never change who I was.

Listen, I have spent my youth in the town library, another horror, because they branded my family as non-earners and contributers so the minute a book did not get returned, they blacklisted us all. But I still went, and I studied African American history, there was a book on Harriet Tubman, and it wasn't so much her situation I identified with, it was her feelings. After that I continued my studies, but never went to college to be a historian, there were too many mouths to feed and kids to get through school. My parents relied on my paycheck.

I started a site on African History and Culture, I want it to be implemented into schools. Every child needs a sense of who they are, and they can never get that and WILL stay oppressed if the richness of their culture is not demonstrated to them. There are no children of a lessor God, although this world would have you think different.

I really, really enjoyed your writings. God Bless, Penny

Since you're also thinking about contraception as part of the larger landscape of reproductive rights that Roe protects, do you have any thoughts on what will happen to policy when the male birth control pill is introduced giving men broadly the option and power of preventing conception themselves?

Reminds me a little of my friend xero's poem, "Pro-Voice."
